![]() . history . Lyonesse's past can best be described as mysterious. While she was born in Chiaco in Megam, and resided there for most of her life, she is rather closemouthed about the rest of her childhood years, though makes references to having traveled, as well as many references to having spent time in Atsiria. A respected scholar and Priestess, she dedicated most of her life to the study of languages, finding enjoyment in mastering and translating them. She is fascinated by the many forms of magic, though only has been able to wield dark tomes masterfully, as well as become an accomplished healer. She departed Megam quietly on undisclosed circumstances, though when the journal network opened, she claimed that she was in southern Dentoria, apparently having been in the libraries. She has been very closed-mouthed about her rank within the Dark Church, and only those closest to her seem to be aware of her connection. Her tie to Franelcrew began with an almost innocent wordplay with Sir Keagan, as well as being drawn to the story, and her heartstrings being tugged by Celeste. At the same time, her own daughter, Aine, was alive and on the journals, though Lyonesse maintained a careful watchful distance, praying that the girl would be able to start a life anew. When she and Druce were reunited, Aine regained her lost memories, and the two were able to talk again; though the reunion was brief. Not long after revealing that she was with child, Aine sacrificed her life and the life of her child to "protect" Druce, following a rush of events. Lyonesse quickly rushed to meet Druce, and pushed her grief aside to be his crutch. She was able to convince him to travel with her to rejoin Franelcrew--she had left because of the bandits pursuing her--where she and Keagan began to draw closer to one another once again. Druce departed suddenly while they were in Megam, leaving her rather worried, though this time she remained with the group, becoming closer with the individuals, and more protective of Celeste, whom she was already beginning to see as a daughter. Keagan proposed to her on the bow of a ship only a few months later, on her birthday; she was quick to accept, and they were married on July 28th, during a raging thunderstorm in Norey. Lyonesse only just managed to convince Druce to rejoin them, though the boy was skeptical of her relationship. On the road to finding Kail, who had been suffering throughout their entire time in Kanemoria, Lyonesse learned three things. The first being that on the anniversary of Aine's death, Druce admitted that he still had the tome which had robbed Aine of her life, and was entrusting it to her, unable to hold onto it any longer himself. The second being that the bandits (who were being led by Druce's father Lewis, of all things), had been following them since they arrived in Kanemoria, to her dismay. The last was that she was with child. After climbing a mountain -- and being told to remain at the bottom of the cliff, at Keagan's behalf -- to find Kail, the group began their trip to Atsiria. Druce opted not to join them, hoping that he could keep his father from following. After acquiring a young girl named Corrina, who had been captured and sold to a whorehouse. Lyonesse very quickly became a mother figure to the girl, as she had been to Celeste, Lauren and Rae before her, and their relationship only became more solid after tragedy struck them on the open sea. Pirates attacked their ship, and, concerned only with the safety of those in her care, Lyonesse -- with the aid of Jonathan -- was quick to defend those of them who were in the hold, though the pirates soon overpowered them, and she was knocked unconscious for several days. When she woke up, she was disoriented and confused, though it didn't take very long to realize the awful truth -- she had lost their child, and everything she had managed to keep buried about Aine up until that point suddenly overwhelmed her, and for the first time in a long time she was very lost, and very alone. Corrina was a constant source of comfort to her, and they became very close. In order to force herself to recover, Lyonesse quickly allowed herself to distract herself with Celeste, after the girl's drama with Jace began to have rippling effects over the entire group. In Razen, they all faced a very real scare when Lawrence was accused of the death of the King, though after months of worry, Melyndra, the Prophet of the Goddesses, arrived to save him, calling him her "Chosen" one. She then led the group towards Cleraine, where only more pain awaited. There was an earthquake, which left many injuries, and Lyonesse did her best to tend to everyone, scarcely allowing herself to rest. Inara gave birth to a baby boy, though the parentage was still unclear, though Anton had made the decision to marry her. After the pair had fought for nearly a week over what to call him, Lyonesse herself supplied a name for him -- Joshua. She has only become more and more attached to the child as time progresses. The War of Secrets suddenly became very real for their group after a shocking murder took place shortly after Rose Day. Little Corrina had been murdered by Chiel, and there was nothing that anyone could do to prevent it. Lyonesse was hit very hard by this loss. ![]() . personality . Lyonesse is quite cheerful and very warm; she has a very motherly nature, having taken many under her wing and close to her heart. She is wise, and has always been very kind, and enjoys helping others; the loss of her daughter has only made this driving need to be responsible for others even more desperate, as of late, and she has begun to neglect herself, as well, though does not see it this way. She also is extremely secretive. She does not wish for people get overly worried about her, and over the years it has become natural for her to not quite disclose certain details about her mental or physical health, always deflecting concern with her words and her smiles. She says very little of her past, save to drop vague hints here and there, but she is hardly ever direct about anything unless it is unavoidable. ![]() . appearance . Her hair is actually quite curly and a rich shade of auburn, which she typically keeps coiled up neatly in a bun at the back of her head, adorned with a decorative scarf or ribbons, and never seems to ever have a hair out of place. She doesn't wear much jewelry, (despite owning a lot) though earrings seem to be a usual part of her attire. Her eyes are a striking violet in color. She almost always has a pleasant expression on her face. Lyonesse can usually be found wearing richer, darker colors, though she does have a variety. Her gowns tend to be long, and tasteful, but not so much to hinder movement. She only stands to about 5'3, maintaining a nearly slender and just short of voluptuous build. While her attire sometimes seems to be overly complicated, she makes sure that they are never too inconvenient. ![]() [[Lyonesse is played by ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
